HOLIDAYS ON THE ISLAND OF BRAC
Brac is the largest island of the central Dalmatian group of islands. Bol the oldest settlement on the island, is situated on the south shore of the island and nestling under the steep heights of Mount Vidova Gora. It is a distinctive medieval seaport and the most well known resort on the island. In the harbour area there is a quaint promenade with selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. Bol is famous for its Zlatni Rat ('Golden Horn') beach reputed to be the most beautiful in the Adriatic, a favourite destination of surfers and all water sports lovers. The beach is one of the biggest and most beautiful natural beaches on the Adriatic. Like a tongue stretching almost half a kilometer into the sea, it grows with the drifting deposits of tiny pebbles, changing its shape depending on the wind and the direction of the waves. Bol is a trendy and an ideal destination for all who plan an active and fun holiday. Only two hours walk from Bol are sites of exceptional value - the Blaca Desert (with the church and monastery from the 16th century) and Zmajeva Spilja (Dragon Cave).
Postira is a fisherman village on the north side of the island just 8 kilometres from Supetar, the biggest settlement on the Island of Brac. With its simplicity and tranquillity, the authentic stone architecture and tradition, this picturesque place easily attract tourists.
